The Old Tamarack was founded in 2013 by Rob Foster, a Maine native who spent his formative years exploring backcountry woods and lakes. The company specializes in handcrafted cologne, perfume, and botanical grooming products. All products are handmade by Rob in small batches using high-quality, natural, and organic ingredients. Operations are currently based out of Portland, Maine.
The Company is named after the Tamarack [tam-uh-rak], a species of tree indigenous to North America whose name is derived from the Algonquin word for snowshoe wood. Just like the products sold in the shop, Tamarack trees are hardy and unique - they are one of the only deciduous conifers, turning a bright, golden red in autumn months.
We at the Old Tamarack aspire to deliver the highest quality products to our customers. As the shop grows, we look forward to expanding the use of high-quality, environmentally conscious ingredients into new and existing products.
